Phyllis F. LeMay

December 31, 1932 — November 4, 2022

Kaukauna

Phyllis Francis LeMay, aged 89, passed away at American Grand Assisted Living in Neenah on November 4, 2022. She was born on December 31, 1932, to Frances and Eldora (Blom) Jacques. Phyllis married Richard LeMay on June 31, 1952, and the two of them had two sons, Tom and David LeMay.

Phyllis was a devoted catholic and dedicated herself to the church by singing in the church choir and lending a hand wherever she could.  Phyllis was an athlete through and through. She was a long-distance runner and participated in marathons, the Senior Olympics, and cross-country skiing. She took on the role as the family historian and author by delving deep into the Jacques family roots and compiling the information into a book for her family members to cherish their family’s history. This book includes important family dates, traditions, and stories. The research of her family’s history had her traveling over the Canadian border where she could gather more history of the Jacques family. Phyllis created a way for her family’s legacy, a gift that will continue to give.

Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Tom (Denise) LeMay and David LeMay. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamie Paalman, Jesse (Raini) LeMay, Alyssa (Nate) Kaiser; her great-grandchildren, Gavin, Ezra, and Katie Paalman; Wyatt and Willow LeMay; and Meadow Kaiser. Phyllis is further survived by her siblings, Ted (Vicki) Jacques, Doris (Jim) Grinsteiner, Ann DesJarlais, John (Sandy) Jacques, Edith Stichart, Judy Olson, and Margaret Madary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Eldora (Blom) Jacques; her husband, Richard LeMay; her brother, Bud Jacques; and her brothers-in-law George DesJarlais, Henry Stichart, and Howard Madary.
