Phyllis Vivian Anderson

Phyllis Vivian Anderson, 97, of Kaukauna, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024.  

She was born on the family farm in Oslo, Minnesota on June 9, 1926, to Carl and Clara (Knutson) Awes.  

Phyllis attended Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1947. 

On June 5, 1948, she married the love of her life, Roger Anderson.  They lived in Minnesota and North Dakota before settling in Kaukauna, Wisconsin and then Appleton since that time.  

She was employed as a corporate secretary at Appleton Papers for many years and was a long-time member of First English Lutheran Church in Appleton. 

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger, brothers Raymond, Emory, Dennis and Clayton Awes as well as three sisters in law.  

She is survived by her children Jane (Patrick) Mlsna of Rockland, WI, Marcia (Larry) Larson of Stillman Valley, Illinois, Paul Anderson of Madison, Wisconsin, five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A private service will be held for Phyllis, and she will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park.
