Phillip L. "TreyDey" Bailey

September 23, 1984 — December 28, 2023

Appleton

Phillip “TreyDey” Lamont Bailey, age 39 of Appleton, WI joined his heavenly kingdom on December 28, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones filling the hallway at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  He was born to Larry and Lisa (Reed) Moore on September 23, 1984 in St. Louis, MO.  Though he struggled with health problems and wasn’t allowed to work, that never stopped him from lovingly raising his 5 kids and so many more nephews and nieces.

TreyDey was born to be an entertainer.  He liked making people laugh and smile and liked entertaining the kids of his family.  Phillip was a legend at games like Mortal Kombat and was always competing with his family and friends.  He enjoyed telling people about his time playing for the Chicago Bulls or his star roles in upcoming movies.  More than anything, though, he loved his family.  He was so proud to be a good role model to his kids, his nieces, his nephews, and anyone else that needed a good man to look up to.

Phillip will be dearly missed by his mom, Lisa Moore, and his 3 fathers who raised him, Larry Moore, Gregory Williams Sr, and Paul Lee Williams; his kids, Cordelle Bailey, Tatiyanna Bailey, Phillip Bailey Jr, Elijah Bailey, and Amelia Bailey; the mother of his kids, Amber; his sisters, Sheminka (Jesse Powell) Reed, Ciara (Kuna Ealy) Reed, Jessica (Kenneth Evans) Williams, Antoinette Williams, Malissa Moore, Shawtil Cotton Jones, Shawnty Hughery, and Lataya Armstrong; his brothers, Gregory Williams Jr, Anthony Williams, Leon Shaw, Lionell Johnson, Lil Larry Johnson, and Traveon Harper; Dennirae Buhrow and Lataurus Robinson; as well as many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends that he loved so much and they knew it.

Phillip is reunited in heaven with his grandma, Earline Parker; his grandpa, Willie Booker; and his big brothers, Marceino Moore and Hosie Cotton.

A celebration of TreyDey's life will take place on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 4-6 PM at the family home, 521 N. Superior St, Apt. #1, Appleton, WI 54911.  Friends and family are encouraged and welcome to take part in his send-off.

Phillip’s family would like to specially thank the doctors, nurses, and all the other staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, especially Nurse Cheryl Paulsen, that helped care for Phillip in his time of need.  Your care, compassion, and dedication is deeply appreciated and you are loved.

You’ll always be loved, TreyDey.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal but the lord himself.  But when we call upon him, all battles are won and that's what my brother did: he called on our heavenly father and chose to walk with our Father in the end... and that's when he started to win and God cleansed him and washed him with the heavenly water and made room for him so now he can watch over us from above and help us from making mistakes below!! To you, my brother, I say 'yes Lord' and thanks for making life with you so easy to love you."  - Tootie

"The moment that you died, my heart was torn in two: one side filled with heartache, the other side died with you.  I often lie awake at night when the world is fast asleep and take a walk down memory lane with tears running down my cheeks.  Remembering you is easy - I do it every day; but missing you is a heartache that will never go away.  I hold you tightly within my heart - there you will remain - until my life on earth does end, just know Phillip Lamont Bailey AKA TreyDey we will meet again." - Meka
