Obituary

Peter l. Clark, age 78, of Menasha, passed away on October 6, 2026, at home. He was born January 19, 1948, son of the late Peter and Midred (Remick) Clark. Pete graduated from St. Mary High School in 1966. He served his country honorably in the United States Army Military Police from 1968-1970. He protected and served his community with distinction, joining the Winnebago County Sheriff’s office in 1971, achieving the rank of lieutenant, and retiring in 2000. While working in the Sheriff’s office, he attended the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh and in 1979 received a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice.

Pete was an avid golfer and participated in many golf leagues and local tournaments. He was a man of simple things, enjoying time spent at home. In earlier years, he found joy with his golfing buddies and the community at the Firelight. He had a quick wit and a charming personality.

He loved his children very much and told them so all the time, regularly being the first to reach out with hugs,

Pete is survived by his daughter Claudine (Michelle Tummeyer), son Jason Clark, grandson Prior Tummeyer-Clark, sister Chris (Jim) Lewandowski, niece Jenny (Todd) Dollevoet and nephews Brad (Jenny) Lewandowski and Stephen (Gwen) Clark.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his three brothers Jeff, Mark and Fred.

A memorial service for Pete will take place at 11:30am on Wednesday October 21, 2026, at Wichmann Funeral Home-Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 10:30am until the service begins. Pete will be laid to rest at St Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.
