Peter Michael Babcock, a beloved member of the Fox Valley community, passed away on December 28, 2023, in Kaukauna. Born on February 28, 1953, in Appleton, Peter was known for his long and successful career as a Taxi Driver at Yellow Cab. With over 30 years of dedicated service, he became intimately familiar with the streets of the Fox Valley region and was highly regarded by both his colleagues and passengers.
Throughout his life, Peter touched the hearts of many with his straightforward nature and kind demeanor. He had a reputation for being honest and reliable—a trait that made him an exceptional taxi driver. Peter's ability to navigate through the bustling streets with ease was renowned within the community.
Outside of work, Peter enjoyed spoiling his loved ones, including his beloved cat Mr. B. He took delight in taking care of them and ensuring their happiness. His generosity knew no bounds, and he found joy in providing for those he cared about.
An avid outdoorsman, Peter had a passion for off shore and ice fishing. It brought him solace and excitement to be surrounded by nature's beauty while patiently waiting for the perfect catch. Additionally, he cherished spending time with friends and cousins engaging in activities such as working with firewood and building fires—a ritual that fostered lasting memories.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents Pearl Olson and James Cavert and brother Robert (Patricia) Olson. He is survived by his devoted wife Deborah Babcock, loving daughter Jeanette Babcock, cherished grandson Jonah Werdin and nephew Ron Olson.
While we mourn the loss of Peter, we also choose to celebrate his life—a life filled with compassion, dedication, and cherished memories. May his legacy serve as an inspiration to us all.
