Pauline Gilbert

GILBERT, PAULINE

Pauline Gilbert, age 76, of Appleton, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 16, 2009, after a brief battle with ovarian cancer. Pauline was born on June 11, 1933, in Sheridan, Wisconsin, to the late Bert and Elsie (Krueger) Weisen. She married the love of her life, Donald Gilbert, on July 9, 1955, in Appleton; he preceded her in death on July 14, 1989. Pauline was a longtime and faithful member of First English Lutheran Church. She enjoyed teaching and taught piano lessons for nearly 50 years. Survivors include her loving children, Mark Gilbert, Germantown; Mary (Greg) Levendoski, Andover, Minnesota; and Mick (Jenny) Gilbert, Appleton; her beloved grandchildren, Brooke and Lexia Levendoski, and Jacob and Joshua Gilbert. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 326 East North Street, Appleton, with Rev. Mary Bauer officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
