Paulette P. King

On September 1, 2026, the angels came to take Paulette King home. She left this world peacefully with her family holding her hands. She was the daughter of Ambrose and Mathilda (Van Asten) Weigman, born on June 14, 1942 in Appleton, WI. Paulette married the love of her life, David “Dave” King in 1963 and they were happily married for 63 years.

After high school, she went to work for Kings Variety Stores where she loved to meet and help the customers. When her son Scott was born, Paulette stopped working and became a full-time mom to be with him. Years later, when Scott was in school, she went back to work for Kings Variety and worked there until she retired.

Paulette was a very religious person and went to mass every morning until she couldn’t drive anymore. She was also active in the church groups for many years. She loved traveling and camping all around the country and the ocean cruises she went on. A whole new way of life started for her when the grandkids came along, as she showered each and every one of them with her love. Paulette was a very kind and loving person and would help anyone who needed help.

Paulette will be deeply missed by her husband, Dave King; her son, Scott King; her grandchildren, Cal (Margot) King, Kansas (Caleb) McDaniel, and Garret, Dawson, and Landon King; her great-grandchildren, Megan and Rylie McDaniel; her sister-in-law, Mary Weigman; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.

Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Mathilda Weigman; and her brothers, Ron (Rosie) Weigman and Gary Weigman.
