Patricia L. Stefonik

Pat Stefonik, age 77 of Appleton, passed away rather unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  Pat was born in Janesville on February 17, 1946, daughter of the late John and Avis (Lynn) Stephens. She attended high school in Rhinelander.

Later, as a teacher’s aide, she worked in Rhinelander, Eau Claire, Marshfield, and Wausau.  She enjoyed ceramics, reading in the sun, time in Florida, and cheering on the Badgers, Bucks, Brewers, and Packers.

Her spirit lives on through the hearts and love of those she leaves behind:  her husband Steve Stefonik; her children: Stephanie (Dan) Andraschko and their children Bobby, McKai, and Noah; and son Jon (Brandy) Stefonik.  She is also survived by a brother: Tom (Lori) Stephens, and three sisters: Pam Gilbert, Julie (Dale) Bronson, and Jonna Jewell.  Survivors from Steve’s family include Phil (Jeanne) Stefonik, JoAnn Bos, Nancy Stefonik, and Tom (Sue) Stefonik.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and brothers-in-law Lyle Gilbert and Mike Stefonik.

A memorial service for Pat will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Wichmann Home, which is located at 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton.  Pastor John Kieffer will lead the service.  Friends are invited to greet the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
