Patricia “Pat” A. Patterson (née Tracey), age 95, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by family, at Brewster Village in Appleton, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. She was born in the Bronx, New York, on June 21, 1930. On March 4, 1951, she married the love of her life, James “Jim” Patterson. Jim and Pat raised three daughters and a son. Jim's job moved the family from Yonkers, NY, to Berea, OH, then Decatur, GA, and finally to Appleton, WI.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Rita Tracey; children, Pam (Mike) Plamann, Gwen (Steve) Raehl, Tracey (Tom) Wargo, and Tim (Carmen) Patterson; grandchildren, Kara (Dan) Plamann Wagoner, Megan (Dan Jaklin) Tobin-Jaklin, Megan Plamann, Brett (Lindsay Swanson) Tobin, Taylor Tobin, Kelsey (Brian) Judge, Charles (Casey Sonsalla) Nance, Danielle Raehl, Jacob (Hannah) Wargo, Rylie Wargo, Christopher (Macey) Patterson, Nicholas (Mariah) Patterson, Andrew (Elizabeth Mullen) Gorniak, Allison (Zachary) Lealiou, Angela Gorniak and Abigail Gorniak; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Kyla, Easton, Dylan, Adler, Jack, Jacob, Nora, Scarlett and Sienna; niece and nephew, Summer and Brook; many other dear family and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; brother, Thomas Tracey; and sister, Linda Tracey.
A private family celebration of life will be held in the near future.
The family would like to thank the staff at Emerald Ridge Assisted Living in Neenah, as well as the staff at Brewster Village of Appleton, and the staff at both Compassus Hospice and Moments Hospice for the wonderful and supportive care they took of Pat.
To the staff who cared for our mom for the last several years, please don't ever underestimate the impact that you had on our mother, the importance of what you do, and the appreciation our family has for each of you.
