Patricia "Pat" Hendrickson

September 10, 1933 — June 24, 2023

Appleton

On Saturday, June 24, 2023, Patricia “Pat” A. (Schmidt) Hendrickson was gently escorted to heaven by her mother and sister. She fought so hard as she didn’t want to leave us, but in the end received the reward she deserved and patiently waited for. “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43

She was born in Appleton on September 10, 1933 to Irwin and Jeanette Schmidt. She was the oldest of six children. After high school she joined the “steno pool” and met her future sister-in-law Norene who introduced her to Merle. The two married in 1956 and were together until Merle’s death in 2004. In 1957 they had the first of their four children and built the home that she lived her until her hospital and nursing home stays. Pat loved to coffee clutch, bowl, go camping, and take vacations traveling the US. She loved watching all her children play various sports. She enjoyed movies, playing cards, campfires, bible study, plays/musicals, bus trips, as well as eating at all the area diners with Merle.

Survivors include her children Steven (Barb) Hendrickson, John (Barb) Hendrickson, Gary Hendrickson, and Cheryl (Todd) Dreger. Sister and brother-in-law Nancy (David) Kirvan, brother David Schmidt, sister-in-law Joan Nichol and brother-in-law Stu Procknow. Mom, we will miss you every day. You were the best Mom anyone could ever hope to have. You gave us your love, heart, wisdom, guidance, and most of all your never-ending faith in Our Lord. When you loved someone, you did it with all her heart and it was felt in your words, prayers, and great hugs.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, or pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

“Love and Prayers” and “Drive Careful”, Mom
