Norman M. Schley, 81, passed away on August 8, 2024, in Neenah, WI. He was born in Stockbridge, WI, on June 13, 1943, to Albert and Lucy (Portmann) Schley.
Norman graduated from Stockbridge High School before proudly serving with honor and valor in the United States Marines. He went on to further his education at DeVry University and worked as a Master Electrician for Bemis Manufacturing Company and Kiel and Werner Electric Company. He had a reputation for tackling any challenge, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
Norman possessed a natural talent for design. He was often using his creativity to bring innovative solutions to improve the lives of those around him. Norman was known for being a handy man. He loved to tinker with his tractor and his hands were always busy working on a new project. He was a keen hunter and loved his family. May he rest in peace and may his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Norman is survived by his beloved wife, Judy; step-daughters Kim (Wayne) Natrop and Tina (Scott) McLeod along with five step- grandchildren and three step great- grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters Alice (James) Thiel and Cathy (Jeffrey) Bates and six nieces and nephews. Norman is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ruben and Wally Schabo.
A Celebration of Norman’s life will take place on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Schaefer Park Pavillion, 610 S. Buchanan St. in Appleton from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm with military honors to take place.
The family would like to thank Dr. Knaus, Dr. Khan, the entire staff of ThedaCare Hospice and the sixth floor nursing staff at ThedaCare Reginal Medical Center in Neenah.
