Norbert G. Pierre

Norbert G. Pierre, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Gardens of Fountain Way, Menasha. Norbert was born on December 14, 1928 in Appleton, son of the late George and Magdalene (Otto) Pierre. He graduated from Appleton High School in 1947. On June 24, 1950, he was married to LaVerne Kraft; she preceded him in death in 1991. Norbert worked at Riverside Paper Company for 13 years before moving to Milwaukee in 1965. Norbert then graduated from MBTI in 1967 and was employed at Evinrude Motors as a systems analyst until his retirement in 1991. Norbert enjoyed traveling, especially to Arizona, golf, fixing things, boating and fishing.
Norbert is survived by his children, David (Margaret) Pierre, Watertown, Michelle (Ken) Jahnke, Appleton, Rick Pierre, Butte de Mort, Mary Beth (Mike) Beauchamp, Hillsboro, MO, and Lorie Ann Pierre, Appleton; five grandchildren, Crystal and Bryan Pierre, Alan (Katie) Jahnke, Don (Amanda) Beauchamp, and Dale Beauchamp; three great-grandchildren, Cassie, Austin, and Taylor; his sister, Patricia Melzer; a sister-in-law, Gloria Kraft; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral liturgy for Norbert will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton, with Fr. David Kelly officiating. Friends may call on Saturday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.
