In Loving Memory of Nancy Pappas

Nancy Pappas unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026, following a brief illness.

Nancy wore many hats throughout her life, and she filled each one with heart, dedication, and a genuine love for others. She was an assistant basketball coach at XHS/MHS, where she shared her knowledge of the game and encouraged her athletes to believe in themselves. As a Special Olympics coach, Nancy was truly the wind beneath her athletes’ wings, cheering them on, celebrating their accomplishments, and reminding them that they were capable of more than they sometimes imagined.

She was the beloved daughter of Charlie and Millie Pappas, a loving sister to Terry and Marie, and a cherished sister-in-law to Kenny. She was a special aunt to Cindy (Adam) and their children Leighton and Easten, Kristen (Greg) as well as to all of Ellen’s nieces and nephews.

Nancy earned an associate degree in computer science, a skill that became a blessing to countless people within her Highland Heights family. She was the go-to expert for all things television and computers. Nancy was also a respected supervisor and leader to her fellow workers at SCA Tissue.

At home, Nancy was a wonderful pet mom to Rosie and Zoey, who brought her joy and companionship. She loved to travel, antique and cheer for the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers with Ellen. Her love for vacuuming and red licorice was unparalleled.

During this difficult time, the family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to those who provided care, comfort, and support to Nancy and her family, including the Dr. and his staff at Thedacare. To the loving nurses, Adam and Luke, thank you for the kindness, care, and comfort you provided. Your compassion will never be forgotten.

To the Dem Sisters, Nancy's Highland Heights family, and the Bunch of Crazies, thank you for the love, friendship, laughter, and support you brought into Nancy's life. A special thank you to both Ellen’s and Nancy’s family and friends for their unwavering support.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Nancy is now safe in God's care.

A celebration of life will be held at Primetime Bar and Grill at 1150 Valley Rd, Menasha, WI on Saturday, October 24, between the hours of 12-2. Please wear Brewer, Packer, or Badger attire to honor Nancy and her love for Wisconsin sports.
