Myrna I. Alverson passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 15, 2012 at Gardenview Assisted Living. She was born in the Town of Kilbourn (which is now Wisconsin Dells) on October 28, 1930 the daughter of the late Carl and Ethel (Higgins) Siewert. On December 31, 1947 she married David Ross Alverson in Wautoma, WI; and after they went to the local movie theater for a nickel each. They were married for 61 years until his passing in 2009. In Myrna's younger years, she and David R. participated in car shows across the state and made specials trips up north for the fall leaves color change. She enjoyed crocheting, her flower gardens, canning fruits and vegetables, and loved decorating for the next upcoming holiday seasons.
She is survived by five children: Maye (Gary) Claas, Maxine Williamson, Myrna E. (Jerry) Maerz, Theresa (Steve Alverson- Frassetto, and David C. (Teresa) Alverson; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one sister Harriet Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; one brother Danny Siewert, and two great-grandchildren, Ashanteana, and Quintin.
Myrna's services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 1, 2012 at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Tri-County Chapel. Chaplain Patricia Knutson will be officiating. Friends and family may visit on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial will take place at 1:00 pm June 2, 2012 at East Oasis Cemetery in the Town of Oasis, WI.
