Mona Lee Gosz

Mona Lee Gosz, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Appleton Medical Center. Mona was born on April 9, 1952, in Seymour, daughter of Walter and Jacquelyn (Eick) Pingel. She attended Shiocton High School, graduating in 1970. On May 14, 1976, she was married to Richard Gosz at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton. Mona worked as an Avon rep for many years and really enjoyed her clients and the relationships she had built with them. She enjoyed planting flowers and gardening, and spending time with her friends. Her greatest love was her grandchildren. She loved babysitting and dedicating as much time as she could to them.
Mona is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughter, Andrea (Danny) Ratliff; her three grandchildren, Cloey, Mason, and Brigham Ratliff; her father, Walter Pingel; four brothers, Clark (Connie) Pingel, Peter (Jenny) Pingel, Keith (Sharon) Pingel, and Carey Pingel; four sisters, Brenda (Bob) Scott, Paula (Denny) O'Malley, Tina (special friend Jim) Pingel, and Deborah (Chris) Zolkowski; special friends, Kalla and Larry Spaeth, and Arlene Steidl; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jackie; and a brother, Quintin Pingel.
The funeral liturgy for Mona will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald Street, Appleton, with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Memorial contributions in Mona's name may be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. William Guenther and his staff at Appleton Medical Center.
