Mildred "Millie" Batzler

Mildred H. “Millie” Batzler (Hechel), age 86 of Greenville, WI passed away on October 11, 2025. Millie was born on October 25, 1938 to the late Arthur and Hilda (Krull) Hechel. In February of 1959, she was united in marriage to Gerald R. Batzler. He preceded her in death in 2017.

Millie enjoyed traveling, sewing, all kinds of needlework, gardening, and camping. She was a long time member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Greenville.

Millie is survived by her two sons, Todd (Terri) Batzler of Hortonville, WI and Scott Batzler of Stephensville, WI; her two favorite grandchildren, Robert Batzler (Fiancée Savannah Lawrence) of Fairborn, OH and Erin Batzler (Fiancé Adam Olson) of Stevens Point, WI; her siblings, Emmy Hechel and Daniel (Carolyn) Hechel; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Hechel and Kay Hechel Roy; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.

Millie is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; her parents, Arthur and Hilda; her siblings, Margaret (Michael) LeMere, Michael Hechel, and Melvin Hechel.

A funeral visitation will be held for Millie from 9:30 – 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, N1615 Meadowview Dr, Greenville, WI 54942 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Millie will be laid to rest with her husband at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI.
