Michelle Renee McGinnis

Michelle Renee McGinnis, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2024. Michelle was born November 12, 1959, to her parents Jordon and Stella Folts, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She moved with her family to Pennsylvania, where she lived for four years prior to their return to Neenah. She dedicated many years of her life to her career as a call center operator before her recent retirement.
 

Family was at the heart of Michelle’s world. She treasured moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family, cherishing the bonds they shared.
 
Outside of work and family, Michelle found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was passionate about cooking and baking, delighting her loved ones with her Christmas cookies during the holidays. An animal lover at heart, she cherished the companionship of her pets and took great pleasure in caring for them, including her grandkitties Snuggles and Mango, as well as her beloved Rottweilers Roxanne, Max, Toby, and Lightning. Michelle also had a deep love for reading and would often reread books immediately after finishing them, finding comfort and joy in the pages of her favorite stories.

Michelle was preceded in death by her former husband, Daniel McGinnis Jr., and was survived by her father, Jordon Folts, who sadly passed away shortly after her.  
 

She is survived by her children, Daniel (Sarah) McGinnis IV and Christina Spanbauer, her mother, Stella Folts, her siblings, Mike (Kathy) Folts, Tom (Sandy) Folts, and Suzanne (Jeff) Mortensen. She is also survived by her nieces, Amanda Hein and Megan Ecklund, daughters of Suzanne, Kailey Dubey and Samantha Nelson, daughters of Tom. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren, Daniel McGinnis V and Cameron McGinnis.
 
Her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
 

A service will be held for Michelle on Saturday, May 4th, at 11:00 AM, at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton. A visitation will be held prior from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
