Meri Yohn, age 63, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Appleton Medical Center. Meri was born in Wautoma on July 26, 1947, daughter of the late E.J. and Margaret Greer. She enjoyed fishing, and embroidery and needlework. Most of all, she loved to care for her flowering and vegetable plants that she raised each spring in her greenhouse. She also enjoyed travel, and the occasional visit to the casino. Spending time with her two dogs, Bear and Brandy, was also a favorite pastime.
Meri is survived by her husband: Gary Yohn of Menasha; two sons: Ken Yohn of Combined Locks and Andrew Yohn of Menasha; three grandchildren: Tori, Kyle, and Steph; and three brothers: Jim (Peggy) Greer, Dave Greer, and Tom Greer. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Greer.
A memorial service for Meri will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the memorial service.
