MAURICE ‚ÄúMorris‚Äù MANAGAN

Age 83, died on Sunday, April 15, 2001, surrounded by his family at Appleton Medical Center. Maurice was born on November 29, 1917, in Kaukauna to the late Maurice Hazen and Mabel (Heimke) Managan. He married Carrie V. Luedtke on May 14, 1949, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton; she preceded him in death on August 20, 1998.
Survivors include his son, Robert (Diane) Managan; his daughters, Ellen (Jim) Dobbe; Debora (Paul ) Melzer; his grandchildren, Erin Bruso, Katie (Marc) McNeil, Holly and Heather Managan, Nicholas, Sara and Elizabeth Wales, and Matthew Melzer; his great granddaughters, Chloe May, Kaitlyn Jansen and Lillie Virginia; his sisters, Rita Managan and Ethel (Jim) Buss; and his brothers, Ralph (Adrias) Managan, Tom (Delores) Managan, and Donald (Gloria) Managan; his sisters-in-law, June Lokken, Patricia (Richard) Worden; Lola (Morreanus) Vanden Wyngaard; Mary Brouillard; Helen (Edward) Prey, Sandra (Joseph) Wentworth; his four brothers-in-law, Jack, Donald, Carlton (Carol) and Elmer (Karen) Luedtke; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Laura Zimborski and Florence Wanke, and his brothers, Clement (Barney) Managan and Clifford Managan. Maurice will be dearly missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Maurice will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. at OUR SAVIOUR LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3009 N. Meade Street, Appleton, with Rev. Dennis Ellisen officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton, on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday directly at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to benefit children‚Äôs organizations.
