Age 23, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Maurice was born on November 25, 1980, in Chicago to Loria Ellis. He was a machine operator at Walden Paper Company in Oshkosh. Maurice was well-known for his boxing abilities, acquiring many trophies in Golden Gloves competition. Survivors include his mother, Loria Ellis, Appleton; his sister Tamika Ellis, Appleton; his girlfriend, Shandel Kubera, Oshkosh; his sons, Tavian and Deshaun; and his niece Alexis and nephew Nicholas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2004, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Deacon Pete Reinl officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
