Mary Lynn Schroeder (Comerford), age 81 of Menasha, WI joined her heavenly kingdom on May 17, 2026. She was born to Martin and Mary (Welchman) Comerford on April 12, 1945 in Chicago, IL. After graduating high school, she found her calling as a Secretary at St. Mary’s School in Menasha. She married Wayne Schroeder in June of 1971; they would have been married 55 years in June 2026.

Mary enjoyed vacations with Wayne and the family as well as time they spent living in Leadville, CO. Mary loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed long walks, time spent in Colorado at Turquoise Lake, skiing, biking, and Door County. She had a deep love for the dogs she and Wayne raised together throughout their lives. Mary enjoyed tacos & margaritas and she really despised Hallmark movies. She enjoyed her monthly lunches with friends and looked forward to the connections and laughter. More than anything, though, Mary loved her family and cherished every moment she could spend with her kids and grandkids.

Mary will be deeply missed by her husband, Wayne; her children, Phil, Amy (Bengie), Kelly and Steven; her grandkids, Haveah, Brigham, Dempsen, Payton, Parker, Pryce, and Paxson; her brother, Lawrence; her furry companion, Mercedes; as well as nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mary; and her nephew, Little Larry.

A memorial visitation will be held for Mary from 9-11 AM on Friday, June 12, 2026 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 2nd St, Menasha, WI 54952 with a mass to follow at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Fox Valley Humane Association in honor of Mary’s love for animals.
