Mary B. Hausauer

She grew up in Valders, WI, graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac, WI in 1968, and obtained a degree in Secretarial Sciences from Moraine Park Technical College in 1970. Her career consisted of Secretarial work in law enforcement and most recently at Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton, WI. 

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Elroy Vetter (Father) and Carolyn and Alvin Spaude (Mother and Step-father), and two brothers David Vetter and Joel Vetter. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years George Hausauer, her son Scott (Miranda) Hausauer, her daughter Jennifer (Tyler) Kilgas; grandchildren: Abigail, Patrick, Kayleigh, Reid, Sophia, and Oliver, and two brothers Thomas Vetter and Mark Vetter. 

Mary was the ultimate survivor. She outlived her life expectancy by 24 years with countless health complications, always battling things with positivity and her compelling smile. 

A memorial service for Mary will be held Wednesday July 12, 2023, at 11:00am at St Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, N2740 French Road, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the church from 9:00am until the service begins. Lunch will follow at the church.

The family would like to thank St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Appleton and St. Paul Elder Services, Kaukauna for their compassionate care and support for both Mary and her family throughout the duration of her years of fighting.
