Mary Geraldine Ritchie (Stiebs), 92, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015. Mary was born on December 29, 1922 to August and Nora (Worden) Stiebs.
In 1942 Mary started her married life as a beauty operator in New London. In the 1960's she was a meter maid for the Appleton Police Department. Her and her husband operated Ritchie's Antiques in Appleton for many years. She loved making things old new again. She ran her own upholstery business in her home. She spent many hours crocheting doilies. Her favorite vacation was traveling to France and Germany in 1981.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Cyrus, her parents August Stiebs and Nora (Worden) Stiebs brothers Paul (Margaret) Stiebs, Oscar Stiebs, her Sisters, Merle (Carl) Simpson, Lillian (Jim) Gengler, Martha (Vernon) Morack, Mata (Bud) Compton, Frieda (Kenneth) Krake, Mabel (Bernard) Longinsky.
Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews – Leon Krake Shiocton, Betsy (Krake) Mech, Greenville, Judy (Krake) Vanden Burgt, Hortonville, Mykle Bradley, Tennessee, his children; Eric Bradley, Appleton, Sarah Ogle, Ohio, Shasta Spencer, Ohio, Helen (Bradley) Rushing, Nevada, Richard Simpson, Clintonville, Sally (Simpson)Hodkizwicz, Menasha, John Morack, Wauwatosa, Helen (Morack) Arnold, Campbellsport, Marie (Morack) Meyer, Appleton, Arlene (Morack) Quaintance, Appleton, Paul Morack, New London, Jim Gengler, Alaska and Blair Doty.
Her soul will be blessed because she was the most kind hearted and generous person to all that knew her.
The funeral liturgy for Mary will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 12:00 PM at ST BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 E. Lourdes Dr., with Fr. Donald Zulegar officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to Thank Manor Care and Hospice. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
