Mary E. Knutson

KNUTSON, MARY E. (nee KUBORN)

Mary Knutson, age 77, of Appleton, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Manor Care with her family by her side. She was born on July 4, 1934, in Appleton, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Dorothy (Thompson) Kuborn. Mary was an avid TV watcher and enjoyed reading, cooking, and puzzles. She loved a good conversation and was always ready to help others. Mary loved people, especially her friends at Randall Court, her family and grandkids.

She is survived by her children: Dean (Lori) Knutson; David “Smiley” Knutson; Kathy (Ron) Regeth; Julie (Adam) Ristau; William (Maribeth) Knutson and Jennifer Knutson; grandchildren: Andrew (special friend Kelly) Knutson and Christopher (special friend Alison) Knutson; Samantha Regeth; brothers: James (Mary), Gerald (Karen), John (Diana) and Wil (Brenda) Kuborn and her uncle, Richard Thompson. Mary is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Joyce Kuborn and niece, Dana Kuborn.

The funeral service for Mary will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL. Deacon Gerald Kuborn will be officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
