Mary C. Land, age 75 of Kaukauna, passed away on March 10, 2025. Mary was born March 28, 1949, daughter of Edward and Meryl (Springer) Teal. She was a graduate of the Weyauwega High School and later married Eugene Land.
Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and community member whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of many.
Mary was known for her loving, welcoming, and compassionate nature. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen and valued, as evidenced by her genuine friendships and her willingness to extend a helping hand. Her sweet and fun-loving spirit brought joy and laughter to those around her, and she was remembered for her upbeat personality and creative talents.
A woman of many passions, Mary enjoyed crafting, particularly crochet, and generously shared her creations with loved ones, often making heartfelt gifts and cards. She was also a talented hairdresser and owned her own salon, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit. For many years, she dedicated herself to caring for the elderly as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), demonstrating her lifelong commitment to helping others. In addition, Mary operated her own in-home daycare for many years, touching the lives of countless children and families in the community.
Mary's faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing comfort and strength to her and those around her.
A cherished friend and neighbor, Mary was an active member of her community.
Mary was also known for her signature lipstick, which she never went without. She often left her lipstick mark on the cheek of anyone who got too close.
She is survived by three children: Heather La Rue, Clint (Abby) La Rue, and Jodi Land; grandchildren: Tom Mayefski, Ashton La Rue, Alivia La Rue, Eva La Rue, Aylani La Rue, Mason Vanden Bloomer, Rylee Vanden Bloomer, Marshall Vanden Bloomer, and Jace Gard; two step-daughters: Kelly Land and Debbie Land; six step-grandchildren: Jocelyn, Molly Charlie, Connor, Preston, and Nolan; a brother Mike (Ellen) Teal; and her dear friend Meri Foth.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Jessica, her husband Geno.
A memorial service for Mary will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Fox Valley Church, located at 1200 E. Kimberly Avenue. Visitation will take place at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
