Marvella June Boehler (Impellman), age 95 of Waukesha, WI was reunited with the love of her life on 11/11/2025 – Angels’ Day. She died peacefully in her sleep at Brewster Village in Appleton, WI. Marvella was born on June 1, 1930 to the late Ralph and Emma (Draft) Impellman in New London, WI. Her family moved to Symco in High School and owned Impellman Grocery Store. After high school, Marvella met the love of her life, Robert Boehler, and they decided to marry in 1951, celebrating over 60 years together before his passing 10 years ago. Together, they lived in Waukesha, raising 3 wonderful children.
If anything could be said of Marvella, it was that she was compassionate, but strong-willed. She loved her faith, family, and friends, but was always willing to help anyone in need. Marvella worked as a school librarian and volunteered much of her time at local food pantries and clothing resale stores. Marvella’s faith in her Lord was strong – she was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Waukesha for as long as she lived there. She and Robert enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises, and they owned a condo in Florida where they Wintered to every year. Marvella enjoyed drawing and sketching in her free time. In 2015, after Robert’s passing, she moved into Touchmark Assisted Living, where she made many new friends. More than anything else in the whole wide world, though, Marvella loved her family and cherished every moment she could spend with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She was so proud of everyone she helped to raise.
Marvella will be deeply missed by her children, Gary Boehler, Susan (Lee) Christoph, and Patricia (Tom) D’Amico; her grandchildren, Jason (Missy) Boehler, Angela D’Amico, Joey D’Amico, and Reno (Josie) Christoph; her great-grandchildren, Aubrey Boehler and Marisa Boehler; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.
Marvella is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Boehler; her daughter-in-law, Jen; her parents; her parents-in-law; her siblings and their spouses; and Robert’s siblings and their spouses.
Marvella will be laid to rest privately at St. Joseph Cemetery in Waukesha, WI and a celebration of life is being planned for Spring of 2026. In lieu of flowers, please live as Marvella did and donate that money or your time to your local food pantry, as Marvella would’ve wanted.
I love you forever, grandma! Rest in peace. You were an angel all along. Thank you for this beautiful life and incredible family. I’ll never forget you. You were the best grandmother I could’ve asked for – loving, caring, and generous. Her name was Marvella Boehler and she was devoted to spreading happiness. She frequently donated her time to the local food pantry. Her love and service were exemplary. She never wanted the credit, she just wanted to make people smile. An absolutely inspirational woman. She lived a full life, went peacefully in her sleep, and her last words were, “well, I guess there’s nothing else going on here.”
