Marsha L. Nichols, age 64, passed away on July 22, 2025, surrounded by her family and their love. She was born in Algoma, Wisconsin on July 22, 1961. She spent her youth in Green Bay and graduated from Preble High School. When she was in 3rd grade she became acquainted with Michael "Mike" Nichols who happened to be the class clown. The two had a love/hate relationship throughout their younger years. In 9th grade that youthful rivalry turned into love, and Marsha truly caught Mike's eye, and the couple married in 1980.
Marsha is survived by her husband, Mike, and her four children, Kelli Davies, Melanie Espinoza, Breanna Dalke and Michael “Mikey” Nichols.
In the words of her youngest daughter, Breanna –
“The noun “mom” does not fully define the person Marsha was; she was so much more than that to me, my siblings, my father, and her friends. Marsha worked hard, and loved even harder; her family was her top priority. She was a devoted friend, exuding a presence of warmth, acceptance and empathy. With a smile, Marsha was always happy to listen to whatever was troubling you - no matter how big or small. Marsha had a beautiful heart, remembering the little things about the people she loved most - always having a hand-picked card ready for a birthday, or an anniversary. Marsha was never afraid to be her authentic self; she proudly walked to the beat of her own drum. No matter what would come next, or where she was headed, Marsha always looked for the beauty in the life she built.
Everyday, I am reminded of my mother; whether it’s in the chorus of a song, seeing her favorite candy at the store, stumbling across old photographs, listening to waves lapping the shore, and especially in the reflection I see in the mirror. I am truly grateful for the years I was able to spend with her as her daughter. I know she will continue to watch over me, my father, and my siblings forever; gently guiding us through the easy times and the hard.
Until we meet again; I love you, mom.”
“Sometimes, we will die
And sometimes, we will fly away
Either way, you're by my side
Until my dyin' days
And if I'm not there and I'm far away
I said, "Don't be afraid"
I said, "Don't be afraid
We're goin' home"
