Mark Brantmeier, age 62, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Brewster Village, where he was a beloved resident for seven years. He was born on September 27, 1952, in Menasha, the son of the late Reynold and Aline (Lutz) Brantmeier. He enjoyed employment at New Hope Center in Chilton and Valley Packaging in Appleton. Surrounded by his collection of monkeys and fond memories of his beloved parakeet Petey, what Mark loved most in life was time spent with his family. Many will miss Hank, Gus, Spanky or Sparklers, as he was affectionately known. We will miss his firm handshake, strong hug and amazing laughter.
Mark is survived by his brothers and sisters: Bruce (Marcy) Brantmeier, Tom (Maria) Brantmeier, Judi (Robert) Hoerth, Pam (Loren) Asche, Amie Brantmeier, Sue (Tony) VandeYacht, and Tony (close friend Pam) Brantmeier; ten nieces and nephews: Joel, Anna, Karina, Nathan, Ryan, Christin, Chase, Shanel, Kayla, and Sarah; step nieces: Jill, Casey, Jennie, and Bobbi Jo; and eleven great nieces and nephews; uncle and aunts: Russ and Leone Brantmeier, Ruth Brantmeier, Myrna Brantmeier, and Dianne Lutz. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Chris, his godfather and uncle Lloyd Brantmeier; uncles Merle Brantmeier, Sonny and Charles Lutz; grandparents Urban and Florence Brantmeier, Elroy and Daisy Lutz, and Stella Schink.
The funeral service for Mark will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 124 W. 10th Street in Kaukauna. Rev. Levi Willms will be officiating.
