Mark Asman left us peacefully on January 22, 2026 at ThedaCare Hospital in Appleton after unexpected medical issues. Mark was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on September 26, 1941. He was the second of four children born to Earl and Margaret Asman. The family moved to Kaukauna in 1947.

Mark met his wife Judy on a blind date at a Youth for Christ Rally in Neenah. They were married in 1967. They were blessed by the birth of two children: Peter (Melissa) of Wyoming, Ohio and LeeAnn (Tony) Lyndon-Racho of St. Paul, Minnesota, and the addition of beloved grandchildren: Shane Lyndon-Hockert, Xander and Asher Lyndon-Racho, Noah Orr, and River Hope Asman.

He is survived by his wife Judy, sisters: Elaine (Gordon) Guse, Sherry (Douglas) Bennett, Linda Sassman; Judy’s family: Malcolm Marcy, Sandy Marcy, Jack (Patti) Marcy, Debbie (Lee) Marcy Smoll; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Lindon and Elaine Marcy, Jim Marcy, Jill Farrell, David Marcy, and Tim Sassman.

Mark began working at Thilmany Pulp and Paper in Kaukauna in 1962. In 1978 he transferred to Akrosil Division of International Paper, Menasha and retired from there in 2003 as a product engineer. He valued the friendship of his co-workers.

Mark served in the U.S. Army 1964-1965, stationed in Barnstorf, Germany as a Nike Hercules Missile Crewman on the warhead team.

Mark enjoyed Mexican food, sports, cars, westerns, and World War II history. He loved traveling, especially meeting new friends throughout North America on over 22 educational Road Scholar Programs. Mark and Judy spent 48 years working in the AWANA Youth Program with Sparks and on AWANA Missionary Support Teams helping with area events around the state.
