Marion Violet Ashenbrenner

Marion Violet Ashenbrenner, age 97 of Appleton, went to her eternal rest on Mother's day, May 8, 2016. Marion was born on April 28, 1919 in Waupaca Wisconsin to James Peter and Clara Margaret (Nicoliaseon) Peterson. On August 20, 1941 she married Maurice George Ashenbrenner in Menasha and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1994. After the war, Marion and Maurice made their home in Menasha until 1988 when they moved to Appleton. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha since 1947. She enjoyed doing needlework, crossword puzzles and traveling.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Diane (Jerry) Peotter of Appleton, grandchildren Susan Nyhan of Kent Washington and Paula (Darren) Myers of Plano, Texas, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maurice, two brothers Ray and Harvey Peterson and their spouses and three sisters, Grace Johnson, Arlene Neubauer and Lillian Danielson and their spouses.

Funeral Services for Marion will be on Friday May 13, 2016 at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church of Menasha, 300 Broad Street, Menasha with Rev. Steven Billing officiating. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Oakridge Gardens Memory Care Center for all the care and comfort they gave Mom.
