Marion Luella Helms

Marion Luella Helms, age 88, of Appleton, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on March 18, 1922 in Appleton to Edward and Martha (Hernke) Runge. Marion married Harold Helms on May 20, 1943. Marion was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for 50 years, and was also a member of the church choir.

Marion is survived by two sons, Barry (Joanna) Helms, Appleton, and Jeff (Patti) Helms, Appleton; three grandchildren, Tony Helms, Cory Schlafer, and Erik Schlafer, all of Appleton; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and several brothers and sisters.

The Christian Funeral for Marion will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, July 15, 2010 at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Morrison Street in Appleton with Rev. Kenneth Frey officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 5:00 PM Thursday until the time of service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
