Marilyn Florence Mader, 82, of Menasha, WI died peacefully in her sleep on October 17, 2025. She was born in 1942 to Lawrence and Linda (Bloy) Mader, as the second of six children. Marilyn graduated from Menasha High School in 1960 and eventually went on to earn a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She worked at Appleton Memorial Hospital (now ThedaCare Appleton) in the cardiac unit for several years and then worked as an auditor for health insurance claims.
Marilyn was an outgoing, fun-loving, adventurous person. Her roaming, restless spirit had her living at times in California, Arizona, Florida and then back to Wisconsin to care for her ailing parents. She loved angels and we are now confident that she is happy to be among them.
She is survived by her children: Chris (Kim) VenderHeyden, RoseAnn (Terry) Hawker, Budd VenderHeyden, and Curt (Erika) Mader; grandchildren: Stacey (Rich), Trisha (Peter), Melissa, Brandon (Sydney), Sarah, and Emma; and great grandchildren: Stella, Toni, Chloe, Christina, Carter and Claire. In addition, she is survived by her siblings: Bill (Arlene) Mader, Larry (Paula) Mader, Rosie Rohm, Carol (Stan) Carlson and other relatives and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lynn Mader, brothers-in-law: Dick Underwood and Gary Rohm, nephew Jamie Jansen and great nephew Lucas A. Wilz.
