Marie M. (Brehmer) Bousley

Marie M. (Brehmer) Bousley, age 94, joined her Savior on Thursday, August 28, 2022, at Copperstone Assisted Living with her family by her side. She was born on August 18, 1928, the daughter of the late Frank and Frieda (Gruessing) Brehmer. Marie was employed as a dietary aide at Theda Clark Hospital for many years. Once she retired, she enjoyed traveling with family and friends to Alaska, California and many other states. Her true passion was working in her flower beds and garden and reading her daily devotions. She was a long time member of Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church, Menasha.  She also treasured the time she spent with her children, grand­-children and great-grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her two sons: Arnie (Judy) and their children: Stephanie (George) and Adam; Wayne (Dena) and their son, Graham; and her daughter Janet and her children: Becky (James) and Serena (Nathan); three great-grandchildren: Charlie, Allison, and Ethan.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara; her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, William (Rose) Brehmer, a niece Sandra (Brehmer) Baldridge along with many friends.

An abbreviated, funeral service will take place at 1 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Wichmann Funeral Home, Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee, Street, Menasha, with Rev. John Raasch officiating. Friends and family may visit the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at Community Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Copperstone Assisted Living and Compassus Hospice for all the wonderful care and comfort that was provided to Marie and her family. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
