Marianne Beverly “Mickie” (Nee Miswald) Koser, age 83, formerly of Neenah, died peacefully Monday, January 12, 2015 at Prairie Home Assisted Living in Menasha. “Mickie” was born January 9, 1932 in Shorewood, WI, the daughter of Grant and Anita Miswald. On February 14, 1953, Mickie was joined in marriage to Robert Koser of Neenah and has been a resident of the area ever since. She was a member since inception of St Gabriel's Catholic Church in Neenah. Lovingly survived by her son, Stuart (Julie) Koser, daughter Deb (Steve) Thompson, son Jeff (Patricia) Koser, daughter Cheryl Andersen (fiancé John Vandehey), son Gerry (Nela) Koser; 12 grandchildren: Elizabeth (Ryan), Sarah, Alanna, Craig (Rachel), Mike, Sherri, Chad (Jill), Jeni, Jessica (Mike), Natalie, John and Kristine; and three great-grandchildren: Tucker Nathan and Crosby. Mickie is further survived by her brother, Richard Miswald; sisters: Shirley Seal and Nancy Toll.
Mickie was a devoted Mother and wonderful cook who welcomed all to her dinner table. She loved her family, friends, gardening and was an excellent card player. If you happened to beat Mickie at cards, you really won (even if you were only 5 years old). Mickie retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation where she worked for many years as a Health & Safety Technician.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, a brother, Grant, and her sisters: Geraldine, Catherine and Patricia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 4-6:30 p.m. followed by a Prayer Vigil at Wichmann Funeral Home – Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha, WI 54952. On January 17, 2015 Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. (visitation 10:00 a.m.) at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street, Menasha, WI 54952. Memorials to The Alzheimer's Association appreciated.
