Margaret A. Swedberg

Margaret Swedberg, age 86 of Kimberly, formerly of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully in the loving company of family on December 27, 2023.  Margaret was born in Freedom on September 6, 1937, daughter of the late Clifton and Evelyn (Arnoldussen) Coffey. She and Jim Swedberg were married on May 25, 1957 and Jim preceded her in death in 2001.

Margaret loved flower gardening, sewing, crochet, knitting, embroidery and reading. Many will remember her for her work as a waitress on weekends: three years at The Moasis, six years at the Prime Steer, and 16 years at Jacks or Better.  She was blessed to have met and worked with many wonderful people.

Margaret leaves behind her children: Joel Swedberg, John (Kelly) Swedberg, Jeff (Tammy) Swedberg, Jerry (Katie) Swedberg, and Mary (Keith) Franzke. There are 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; two sisters: Darlene (Jake) Van Camp, and Mary Jane (Patrick) O’Brien; four brothers: Tom (Brita) Coffey, Tim (Deb) Coffey, Jack (Laurie) Coffey, and Brian (Angie) Coffey.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, a son Jay Swedberg, brothers Ronald Coffey and Patrick Coffey, a sister Colleen Coffey and infant sister Noreen Coffey.

The funeral liturgy for Margaret will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, located at 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna. Father Luke Ferris will officiate, and burial will take place in the church cemetery.  Friends may call on Thursday, January 4 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fargo Funeral Home located at 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Kaukauna and again at the church on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
