In the early hours of Monday, September 22, 2025, our Heavenly Father called one of His faithful children home to be with Him and the loved ones who have gone before her.
Margaret H. Drawenek (Summers) was born on August 30, 1933, to the late Aaron and Esther (Dunst) Summers in Greenleaf, WI. She grew up surrounded by her loving parents and siblings (three sisters and two brothers).
On October 16, 1951, Margaret married the love of her life, Joseph Drawenek. Nine months later they welcomed their first son, Daniel, followed by Donald 15 months later. Together, Joe and Margaret built a life filled with love, family, and faith.
Margaret embraced many roles throughout her life: Christian, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She worked as a bank teller, branch manager, and cashier. Margaret’s faith was central to her life, and she loved attending church and spending time with family. She also enjoyed traveling, time at the family cabin in Amberg, WI, reading, going out to dinner, and working on crossword puzzles.
Above all, Margaret’s greatest joy was her family. She poured her love and care into her children, Daniel (Mary) Drawenek and Donald Drawenek; her grandchildren, Jackie (Mike) Gould, Aaron Drawenek, Kelly (John) Berrens, Vicky (Jason) Gilson, Willam Drawenek and partner Alexandrea Trudeau, and Anna Drawenek; and her great-grandchildren, Kyle Jahnke, Logan Drawenek, Trista Ritchie, Taylor Martzahl, Hailie Drawenek, Joseph Drawenek, Addison Berrens, and Olivia Gilson. Her devotion to them was evident in every part of her life, and she cherished the time spent together.
She is also remembered with love by her sisters-in-law, Margaret Summers and Bonnie Summers, as well as by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Drawenek, brothers, Garfield Summers and Thomas Summers, and her sisters, Blanche (Sylvester) Mecikalski, Jean (Gordon) Nehring, Marie (Joseph) Young, Joe’s parents Joe Drawenek Sr & Bernice (Wiegand) Diehl and siblings: David(Lucky) Drawenek, George Diehl, and Sandra (Jack) Collins.
