Margaret “Maggie” Ann Dietzen, age 75, passed away peacefully the morning of October 12, 2024, surrounded by her family. Maggie was born on November 16, 1948, during a snowstorm to the late Charles “Carl” and Connie (Reinkober) Berrens in Fond du lac, WI. Maggie grew up in Chilton and attended St Mary’s Catholic School as well as Chilton High School. On May 1, 1971, Maggie married Michael Dietzen at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilton and the couple proceeded to have son Michael and the little family moved to Kimberly. Caregiving was in Maggie’s nature, and she worked as a CNA at various nursing homes throughout her life.
Maggie is survived by her husband Michael “Mick” Dietzen, her son Michael Dietzen, grandsons Aaron and Tyler Dietzen ; sisters: Beverly Van Gheem, Barbara (Joe C.) Schmitz, twin sister Mary Meisenburg, Gail (John) Meyer; brother-in-law Bill Dietzen; sister-in-law Ruthie (David) Wright; god children: Wendy Meuer and Katie Van Gheem as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in passing by her parents, her in-laws Richard and Helen Dietzen, brothers-in-law Jules Van Gheem, Lee Meisenburg, and Jim Dietzen; sisters-in-law Bonnie Dietzen and Joyce Dietzen; niece Connie Van Gheem and her pets Sammy, and Pepper, and other furry friends who shared her home.
A funeral mass for Maggie will take place Saturday October 19, 2024, at 11:00am at St Paul Catholic Church, 410 S. Wallace Street, Combined Locks. Friends and family may gather at the church from 9:00am until mass begins.
