Manorama Sharma, age 84, of Menasha, Wisconsin, passed away on November 13, 2023. She was born on July 26, 1939, in Firozabad, U.P., India. She was among the first people from India to arrive in the Fox Valley in 1970 and was a founding member of the Fox Valley Puja Group.
Manorama was a wonderful friend to many, generous, compassionate, and social. She was an accomplished cook and was widely traveled, having been all over the United States, India, Nepal, Thailand, the Middle East, and many countries in Europe. Manorama enjoyed watching Wisconsin sports and was a dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers. Manorama also had a passion for growing plants and flowers.
Manorama is survived by her devoted husband, Virendra N. Sharma; her sister, Madhuri Sharma; her loving children, J. Asha Sharma (Jeff Davies), Anupama Harvey (Daniel), Nirupama Hayden (Daryl), Arvind Sharma (Stephanie Radtke); her five grandchildren Mira and Nikhil Harvey, Enas Hayden, Rohan and Kiran Sharma, and by many loving relatives in India. Manorama was preceded in death by her parents Ajab Singh Sharma and Sulakshana Sharma, brother and sister Rameshwar Sharma and Sudha Sharma, and infant son Lalu Sharma.
The Memorial Service to celebrate Manorama's life will be held at the HTNEW (Hindu Temple of NE Wisconsin), 911 Delanglade St, Kaukauna, WI 54130, on Saturday, December 2nd, at 2:00 PM. We would like to thank the staff at Oak Park Assisted Living and the doctors and nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care of Manorama.
