Mae B. (Zerbel) Wegenke, 96, of Appleton, Died at Brewster Village in Appleton on December 26, 2011.

Mae was born on August 7, 1915 in Grand Chute to Aaron and Mildred Zerbel. She lived in Appleton on Franklin St. for most of her life. She worked at Zwicker Knitting Mills in accounting. Mae was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Mae is survived by her granddaughters; Wendy (Stuart Ciske) Wegenke of Sun Prairie, Lori (Larry) King of Bloomington, Minnesota, Dianne (Dan) Leeder of Verona and Jennifer (Kelly) Herm of Neenah. She is also survived by faithful friends, Wil and Bev Kleinschmidt of Shawano, a sister-in-law, Laura Zerbel, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Art and Harry and a son Richard Wegenke.
A funeral service for Mae will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Tom Mielke officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
