Age 93, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday evening, November 3, 2008 at Oakridge Gardens in Menasha. She was born on September 6, 1915 in Edgar, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Robert and Selma (Greening) Prellwitz. On September 25, 1937 she married Gordon C. Krueger in Greenville, and the marriage was blessed with 28 years and 3 children before Gordon passed away in April of 1966. Luella most recently was employed to Clarks Cleaners for over 20 years, and into her 70's. She was a member of Riverview Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, bowling, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and above all she enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Beverly Van Rooy, Appleton; Sharon (Byron) St. Louis, Fremont; daughter-in-law: Kathy Krueger, Joliet, IL; grandchildren: Joe (Sue) Van Rooy, Tim (Carol) Van Rooy, Amy (Kevin) Prideaux, Carrie (Mark) Kools, Mike (Kelly) St. Louis, Terri (Paul) Meiselwitz, Todd (Lisa) St. Louis, Tammy (Chip) Kerscher, Steven St. Louis, David (Tiffany) St. Louis; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters: Viola Dahms, Oshkosh, Beatrice (Bernie) Phaff, Mauston; brother: Raymond (Mary Lou) Prellwitz, IL; sister-in-law: Laverne Clark; brother-in-law: Leo Peters; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, and her loving husband, Gordon, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Krueger; 3 brothers: Elmer, Willis, and Donald Prellwitz; sister: Dorothy Collar; son-in-law: Tom Van Rooy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Riverview Evangelical Lutheran Church (136 West Seymour Street) with Rev. Dennis W. Belter officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the funeral. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Heartland Hospice.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Oakridge Gardens and Heartland Hospice, and Mom's pastors at Riverview for their love, care, and support.
