Lucille M. Resch

Lucille M. Resch, 98, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2024. She was born on May 15, 1925, daughter of Albert and Anna Thiele. She married William Resch on June 10, 1950. They raised 7 children together and had a happy and loving marriage until his passing.

Lucille was an active member of St. Mary Menasha for over 70 years. She spent her time volunteering at the church and was the head of the Legion of Mary for many years. Lucille enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and doing puzzles with her special friend of over 50 years Bonnie Hahn. She also loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William; parents; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her children, Ann (Richard) Brecklin, Daniel (Maurine) Resch, Joseph (Mary) Resch, Gerard “Jerry” (Julie) Resch, Nancy (Joseph) Drexler, Elizabeth “Betty” (Daniel) Weiland, and Philip (Noel) Resch; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A mass will be held for Lucille on Wednesday, March 20, at 11:00 AM, at St. Mary Catholic Church Menasha, 528 2nd St, Menasha. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
