Louise Emily Ebert

November 26, 1941 — April 18, 2024

Appleton

Louise Emily Ebert was called home to Heaven at the age of 82 on April 18, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her. She was born on November 26, 1941, in the Town of Waupaca to Alex and Olga Pope.

After graduating from Waupaca High School, she moved to Appleton and worked for Aid Association for Lutherans. She then met the love of her life, Loren ‘Ebie’ Ebert, and they were married on August 17, 1963, at St. Peter's in Weyauwega, WI. They enjoyed 45 wonderful years together traveling, cheering on the Packers, and serving others in various ways.

Louise was a talented seamstress and used her gift and love of sewing to spread warmth and comfort to those in need. She lovingly crafted pillowcases for the Appleton Noon Lions Club project to distribute to area organizations. Her meticulous work also shone through in the intricate Christmas dresses, bridesmaid dresses, kids’ pajamas, doll clothes and masks given away during the pandemic, all created with love and care. She found immense joy in sewing for others, bringing happiness to both the recipients and herself.

After Loren and Louise moved back to Appleton in 1972, they joined Mount Olive Lutheran Church, where she proudly served as a longtime Ladies Aide, Altar Guild member and in other volunteer opportunities with the church and school. Her dedication to the church community mirrored the selflessness and generosity she embodied every day. Additionally, she was a charter member of the Appleton Noon Lioness Club and served as the founding president and in many positions until it was dissolved after 25 years. She was then a Lioness with Larsen-Winchester and was an Appleton Noon Lion member. Louise found great joy in family traditions that her family will have to carry on, including the Friday Fish Frys and cheering on the Packers, Bucks and Brewers. She treasured moments spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her children Marsha Fischer, Little Chute, and her children Alexandria Rivera, Amanda Fischer and Adrienne (Alexis) Tellez; sons Todd (Lori) Ebert, Appleton, and their children Kendra (Ryan) Lehrer, Kyle Ebert and her great grandchildren Maverick and Dakota Lehrer; and Greg (Melissa Boge) Ebert, Portland, OR, and their children Alexander and Bennet; brothers Bill (Kathy) Pope, Andover, NJ, Fred (Mary K) Pope, Westminster, CO and brother-in-law Marlyn Ebert, Weyauwega, as well as many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Louise is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents any many other family members.
