Lorraine Markowski, 85, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1939, to her parents Peter and Lillian (Nowicki) Yeska in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.
She was raised in Wild Rose, WI. She graduated from Wild Rose High School. She was working in Berlin at a restaurant when she met her late husband, August. They dated for a short period of time before they got married on February 9, 1960. Together they had 3 children.
Lorraine was devoted to her faith and liked to volunteer at church. She was a big football fan. Go Pack Go! Saturdays were always for college football. She also liked to go gambling. Lorraine was a bowler for many years. She enjoyed cooking and baking and she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Tammy (Carl) Plamann, Jules (Randy) Skowronski, Peter Markowski; grandchildren: Dillon (Ali) Plamann, Hunter (Sophia) Plamann, Lauren Skowronski, Tyler (Rachel) Skowronski, Sadie (Justin) Leader, and Cole (Kayla) Markowski, Paul (Makenna Murkley) Markowski; great grandchildren: Mariah, Thea, Charlotte, Rosalie; sister Ileen (Gary) Hudziak, brother in law Len Lesniak and sister in law Jo Ann Yeska.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Frank (Lena) Yeska, Eleanor (Robert) Krause, Edwin (Carol) Yeska, Marge Lesniak, Richard Yeska, Lillian (Fred) Hodor, great grand daughter Josephine (Josie).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
We also would like to thank the staff at Rennes Health and Rehab and Renaissance of Appleton who have helped and comforted Lorriane over the past year. A very special thanks to all staff and residents at Valley VNA who helped to make Lorraine’s last few weeks of life very special and beautiful. She truly loved and appreciated all of you.
