Lori Love Powell, 63, of Little Chute, passed away on October 28, 2025, after a courageous battle with progressive supranuclear palsy. She was born on August 1, 1962, in Mobile, Alabama, to James and Helen Lock.

Lori graduated from Clemson University and started her career as a chemical engineer at Appleton Paper, before becoming a devoted stay at home parent. Lori was deeply involved in her children's lives and strove to give them every opportunity to be well rounded, caring people. She loved gardening and was an avid reader who was constantly learning.

Lori is survived by her husband of 40 years, Don Powell; her children, Michael (Lina) Powell, Allison Powell, and Lindsay Powell; beloved grandchildren Mollie, Jude, and Amina Powell; and sister Linda (Randy) Griesbach. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral visitation will be held for Lori from 9-11 AM on Friday, November 7, 2025 at First United Methodist Church 325 E Franklin St, Appleton, WI 54911 with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM.  Lori will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton, WI.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to CurePSP in Lori's memory.
