Lois E. Pozolinski

December 22, 1926 — November 18, 2016

Lois E. Pozolinski, age 89 of Menasha, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, November 18, 2016. She was born December 22, 1926 in Waupaca, Wisconsin daughter of Arlington and Mabel (Nelson) Stearns. She graduated from Waupaca High School in 1944 and then moved to Appleton and started work at Marathon Paper Mill in Menasha. Lois met her husband Joe in 1947 and was united in married June 11, 1949 at St. John's in Menasha. They welcomed their children Jerry and Sandy in the years that followed.

Lois had a long and fulfilling life, spending time with family and friends and giving back to many organizations for which she was passionate. Lois loved spending time cooking in the kitchen and baking pies was her specialty. She enjoyed her time crafting at the sewing machine and kept active with bowling, cards with friends and dartball leagues. She also volunteered with local organizations such as the St. Joe's Food Pantry, St. Elizabeth's Hospital, the Lady Falcons and the Lions Club. Lois was also a long time member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Neenah/Menasha.

Preceded in death by her first husband Joe Pozolinski, parents Arlington and Mabel Stearns, sisters Ruth (Milo) Rollefson and Jean (Len) Reek, her second husband James Williams, sister-in-laws Francie (Ralph) Ashley, Alvina (Richard) Staffeld, Louise (Harold) Walsh and brother-in-law Frank (Rosie) Pozolinski.

Lois is lovingly remembered by: her brother, Bill Stearns of Weyauwega; her children, Jerry (Bonnie) Pozolinski of Menasha and Sandy (Stu) Lebo of Wausau; her grandchildren Nick Pozolinski of Milwaukee, Chelsea Pozolinski of Waukesha, Sarrie (Mike) Devore and great-grandchild Grant Devore of Neenah; her step-children Robin (Shelly) Williams of Green Bay, Jan (Chris) Williams of Neenah, Margo (Richard) Miller of Appleton, Sandy Felzer of Little Chute and Diane Reinke of Appleton, as well as numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Lois will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Congregational United Church of Christ, 1511 Nicolet Blvd, in Neenah with Rev. Marty Carney officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.

The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to Dr. Shanthi Joseph, Oak Park Place Assisted Living, Rennes Rehabilitation, Ascension Hospice and Home Instead for the excellent care they provided to Lois. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
