WALLACE, LESLIE F.

Leslie F. Wallace, age 95, of the Town of Menasha, passed away at Garden View Assisted Living on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Leslie was born on July 4, 1914, in Pittsville, to the late Howard E. and Johana (Johnson) Wallace. He married Bina M. Hahnemann on January 11, 1941, in Kaukauna. Leslie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the Depression and proudly served his country for three years in the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Leslie was employed by American Can Corporation for over 35 years, retiring as head carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and especially the time he spent with his grand children and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Bina; his daughter Bonnie (Gary) Meyer, Neenah; his grandchildren Leslie (Marie) Meyer and Rachel (David) Rohloff; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Meyer, Spencer Rohloff and Melanie Rohloff. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harvey and his sister, Eleanor Suess. There will be a private, family memorial service.
