LeRoy “Midnight” Kenneth Hoffmann, age 84 of Appleton, WI passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Apple Creek Place. Lee was born on November 25, 1940 in Appleton, WI to the late Anton and Virginia (Hager) Hoffmann (later remarried to VandenHogan). Lee married the love of his life, Florence Stinski in August of 1969. They cherished over 55 years together traveling to visit family and friends.
Lee enjoyed breakfast with the guys at Black Bear Restaurant, signing in at his favorite hangouts and enjoying a Friday fish fry with Flo. Lee worked many years at Miller Electric before his well-earned retirement in 1999.
Lee is survived by his wife, Florence; his daughters, Kim Merz and Nancy Sword; his grandsons, Adam Jensen and Andrew Jensen; his great-grandson, A.J. Jensen; his sister, DeeJay (Thomas) Jacob; his sister-in-law, Juanita (Edwin) Fehrman; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Tony Hoffmann and Virginia (Emmet) VandenHogan; his in-laws, Joseph and Mary (Delfosse) Stinski; his siblings, Jerome (Marian) Hoffmann, Robert Hoffmann, Theresa Hile, Henrietta Meyer, and Loretta (Kenneth) Derks; his siblings-in-law, Joseph (Darlene) Stinski, Richard (Nancy) Stinski, James Stinski, Elmer Stinski, and Margaret (Robert) Jochman.
In respect to Lee’s request, no funeral services will be held.
Lee’s family would like to offer a special thanks to Moments Hospice and Apple Creek Place for their kindness and compassion shown to Lee during his time of need. Additionally, appreciation is extended to his nieces and nephews who took turns visiting, making food, and driving Flo to visit Lee. We will always be grateful for your time and devotion!
