Age 79, passed away at Fox River Assisted Living on Saturday, March 26, 2011. He was born in Chicago on December 7, 1931 and raised in Hortonville. Lee attended Hortonville High School and then enlisted in the Navy. He served his country as a Navy Corpsman during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge, he earned a Bachelor of Science in business at the University of Illinois and a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School. On January 29, 1968 he married Jane Young. Lee practiced law and co-founded the law firm of Patterson, Jensen, Wylie, Silton, and Siefert in Appleton and Hortonville. He retired from the firm in 1997. Throughout his life Lee had a profound interest in and understanding of the Civil War and particulary the life and presidency of Abraham Lincoln. Lee was a dedicated sportsman, who loved fishing, skiing and other sports. During his retirement Lee enjoyed attending his grandsons' sporting events. Lee also volunteered his time at the Veterans Administration Medical Centers in Milwaukee and Appleton. He will be remembered for his dedication to the practice of law, his love for his country and for his family.
Lee is survived by Jane Jensen of Greenville; children: Erica (Fred) Stoeger of Hortonville, Kristin (Mario) Pinto of Kildeer, IL; Dana (Derek) Ferland of Manassas Park, VA; David (Carley) Jensen of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Tannie Jensen and Marge Jensen and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and foster parents; and brothers: Roy, Robert, and John.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS LUTHERAN CHURCH, N1615 Meadowview Dr., Greenville, with Rev. Paul L. Shackel officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
