LAMBIE, LELAND A.

Leland Lambie, 84 years, died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at his home. He was born January 22, 1921 in Kaukauna the son of the late Thurston and Florence (West) Lambie. He served in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. Leland married Nona Coakley on July 19, 1941 in Kaukauna, she preceded him in death in 1995.

He was an avid sportsman and was inducted into the Kaukauna High School Hall of Fame. Leland enjoyed bowling, golfing and baseball. He was employed for 44 years at Combined Locks Mill.

Leland is survived by his daughter; Sandra Lambie of Kaukauna, two sons; Thurston (Dolores) and Stewart (Ruth) Lambie both of Appleton, daughter-in-law; Gerry Lambie of Appleton, 7 grandchildren; Kevin (Lisa) and Scott Lambie, Danelle, Christin and Graham Lambie, Christina and Dallas Lambie and 3 great- grandchildren. Further survived by a brother; Andrew (Elaine) Lambie of Combined Locks, 2 sisters; Sally (Mark) Jansen of Pennsylvania and Lois Simons of Combined Locks, an aunt; Mildred Grode of Kaukauna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son Daniel, brother Neil Lambie and sister Lillian Lambie.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 23, 2005 from 10:00 am until 12:00 Noon at the Greenwood-Fargo Funeral Home. Interment Union Cemetery, Kaukauna.
