LaVerne C. Bachmayer

LaVerne C. Bachmayer (nee Brazel), age 92, of Appleton, passed away at Rennes Health Center West in Peshtigo on Monday, March 19, 2012. She was born in Chicago on September 19, 1919 the daughter of the late Ervin and Lucy (Steube) Brazel. On March 3, 1945 she married Joseph W. Bachmayer in Grand Chute. He preceded her in death in 1993. LaVerne took pride in raising her family and was a wonderful homemaker. She was an avid knitter, enjoyed crocheting, sewing and most of all, cooking and baking. LaVerne will be remembered for her youthful looks and wonderful smile.

LaVerne is survived by her children: Dennis (Mary) Bachmayer of Neenah, Lurene (Stephen) Chevalier of Marinette, David (Karen) Bachmayer of Conover and Debra (Ken) Derks of Waupaca; grandchildren: Jolene, Anmarie, Matthew, Jamie (Leslie), Jeremy (Lesa), Jody and Jaclyn; great-grandchildren: Emma, Kaley, Tyler, Kaleb, Alivia, Seth and Lilly; and six brothers and sisters: Elmer Brazel, Luella (Merrit) D'Arcy, Glenn (Vivienne) Brazel, Joan (Donald) Browning, Karen Brands and Gilbert Brazel. She was preceded in death by two grandsons: William and Marc; brother, Donald Brazel; and brother-and sister-in-law: Raymond Brands and Lois Brazel.
